Job Description:
Plan and conduct food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease. May supervise activities of a department providing quantity food services, counsel individuals, or conduct nutritional research.

Dietitians and nutritionists are experts in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease. They advise people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal.
How to Become One:
Complete a bachelor's degree at a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE), complete six to 12 months of work in a CADE-accredited practice program and pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) test.
